Carl Sarahs, was born in Norwich, England and was a late starter to golf at the age of 16. He attended Myerscough College in Preston, Lancashire, England where he began coaching junior golfers at the college’s golf facility, a nine-hole course, range and teaching facility. He loved coaching and did it throughout his university career at Myerscough, under the mentoring of Tony Howarth. Carl moved with Tony Howarth to Mini Marvels in 2002 and coached with Tony till he moved to the USA after graduating from the University of Central Lancashire in 2003. Carl learnt many things from Tony Howarth about mentoring junior players and he has continued his mentoring in the USA. He has been teaching golf for over 15 years.

Under Jim Hardy and Chris O’ Connell of the Plane Truth Golf with influence from Bernie Najar, Krista Dunton, Josh Zander, Kevin Roman, Shane LeBaron, Stephen Puryear, Andy Traynor and John James Vallely all fellow Plane Truth instructors, Carl has learned what is important to help a golfer reach their potential.

Carl is a Level 1, Plane Truth Certified Instructor. He is one of three Utah golf instructors, in the state of Utah and the Utah Section PGA, to be certified in Instruction. Carl is a student of the game and is constantly seeking wisdom to help his students play their best golf.



Carl has been awarded the Utah Section PGA “Assistant Professional of the Year” and has worked and has developed successful junior and adult teaching programs at Riverside Country Club in Provo, Utah, Alpine Country Club in Highland, Utah and he currently works at Willow Creek Country Club in Sandy, Utah. 

Carl played every sport possible in high school and college and brings that influence to his teaching approach. He incorporates multiple sports into his coaching programs and believes that junior golfers should play as many sports possible as juniors. He is excited to help you with your golfing goals and designing a program to meet those goals. Carl is one of the best golf instructors in Utah and looks forward to helping you play your best golf.
